What is assisted living?

Assisted living facilities are for people needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) - such as eating, bathing, dressing, laundry and assistance with medications - but wishing to live as independently as possible. Assisted living exists to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing homes.

Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?

SilverRidge is a private pay facility. Our Pharmacy will assist residents with the best Medicare D plan for their medications. Unfortunately we only accept private pay for apartment expenses.

Do you have planned activities?

We are adding and changing our activity program every month to better meet the needs of our current residents. We go shopping to local businesses weekly as well as trips to other locations monthly. There are multiple activities to attend every day at SilverRidge.

Are utilities covered in the base rate?

Yes, all utilities including Cable are included in the cost of the apartment with the exception of telephone. There is a small monthly fee for phone and can be waived if resident prefers not to have it.

What if a resident needs some extra help?

At SilverRidge we have levels of care that can be increased or decreased to meet the current needs of the resident. Levels go from one to three based on how much extra help they need. The costs for these levels increases with the amount of care.

Do you accept Long Term Care Insurance?

Yes we do. We have multiple residents with insurance policies that we can assist and help prepare proper paperwork.

Do you have a direct bank withdrawal program?

Yes. We have a program set up with our financial carrier to handle the paperless payment transactions.

How can I ensure that I make the right decision?

Choosing the right assisted living residence takes a lot of research to ensure you find the best fit possible. We encourage you to take a tour of our facility, join us for a meal, or observe residents to get a sense of our atmosphere, and most important, be sure your individual needs will be met.
